Conveys, separates, collects and briquettes aluminum chips from sawing and machining for remelting and cleaner workshop operation.
Process role#
Aluminum chip recovery is planned from the chip-generating station to the downstream receiving point. For billet sawing, the route can combine extraction, collection, briquetting and discharge conveying. Extraction and transfer are selected for chip load, duct length and pressure loss. Chips from other machining operations require a separate material review before the configuration is selected.
Key technical data#
| Recovery route | Saw-chip extraction, collection and briquetting can be configured together, with chain-plate conveying linking press discharge to downstream collection. |
|---|---|
| Equipment selection | Extraction is checked against the duct-network duty; extraction and briquetting capacities require their own project selection. |
| Project boundary | The chip sources, collection points, briquetting requirement and final receiving method are defined together in the proposal. |
Information required for selection#
- Which sawing or machining stations generate the chips, and how much does each produce?
- What are the chip form, alloy, lubricant and any mixed materials?
- Which stations run together, and what are the extraction/transfer distances and elevation changes?
- Is loose-chip collection or briquetted discharge required, and which container receives the material?
- Which existing equipment must remain, and what space, power and control interfaces are available?
