A pin-impact marking station for applying batch, specification or traceability characters to billet end faces as part of an automatic sawing line.
Process role#
Automatic pin marking uses a striking pin to form characters on billet end faces as an identification step after sawing. The marking head and billet positioning must be coordinated. Multiple-billet applications also require review of the individual end-face positions, character content and available cycle time.
