Supports separation, assembly and maintenance of aluminum-extrusion dies, reducing manual handling and standardizing service work.
Process role#
The separating station combines die alignment, powered support rollers and a hydraulic separating blade to separate the upper and lower sections of aluminum extrusion dies. Selection starts with the die construction and split location, with support, rotation and blade contact reviewed as one arrangement.
Key technical data#
| Separating motion | Support rollers rotate the die while the separating blade advances incrementally in the selected arrangement. |
|---|---|
| Tooling compatibility | Die alignment and support follow the die geometry; tooling and motion required for assembly work are defined separately. |
Information required for selection#
- Die outside diameter, thickness, mass and upper/lower section drawings
- Split-line position, current separation method and typical difficulties
- Die temperature conditions and support or gripping constraints
- Required separation, assembly, loading and unloading scope
