A high-speed milling unit for dross size reduction before downstream separation.
Process role#
The ball mill reduces cooled, agglomerated material size before downstream screening and metallic separation. Its feed, discharge and dust-extraction interfaces are matched to the duty of the complete line.
Operating sequence#
- Receive cooled dross that meets the required feed condition.
- Reduce agglomerated and coarse material through the milling stage.
- Discharge the processed material to classification screening and connect transfer points to the extraction system.
Key technical data#
| Process position | Typically connected after cooling and before classification screening, with the exact path selected around material condition. |
|---|---|
| Line interfaces | Feed conveying, discharge buffering, screening connection and dust capture are configured as part of the complete system. |
Configurable scope#
- Feed conveying, buffering and foreign-material control
- Discharge conveying and connection to single- or multi-stage screening
- Enclosure, transfer-point extraction and maintenance guarding
Information required for selection#
- Feed size, agglomeration, dust condition and metal content
- Required discharge size and downstream classification needs
- Operating duty, continuous or batch operation and upstream/downstream buffering
- Installation space, foundations, extraction boundary and maintenance access
